Lift Refurbishment For Special School

Lift refurbishment for special school

We have just finished a lift refurbishment project for a special school based in Stoke. Our local council contacted us regarding a passenger lift, situated in one of their special schools in the region. The lift in question had not seen use and has been out of service for over 2 years.

The special school had a Schindler Smart MRL Traction lift, which like any product, faced the end of its lift expectancy. The lift was in need of an upgrade so the school could once again have a safe and efficient lift, which ensures access to all areas of the school.

Luckily, Shorts Industries Ltd have a dedicated lift modernisation solution for this type of lift, using the DMG package which fitted perfectly. Within 4 weeks from order and two weeks on site, we are pleased to say that the passenger lift is now working great which will aid this fantastic school. The school operation manager said “Thanks, Paul, and compliments to your team who are a credit to you”.

During our time on site, we supplied a new control system, shaft positioning, car top controls, COP, LOP, indicators, wiring, door safety edges, shaft lighting, OSG and L&L package that was ideal for these specialist lift doors.

A lift refurbishment is an excellent solution for an old lift, its a solution that makes the lift work like its brand new, minus the hassle and additional costs that come with a new lift.

Many schools around Stoke are switching to Nationwide Lifts due to excellent customer service, expertise and knowledge of the education sector. If your lift is due an upgrade, feel free to make the call.
