We finished a lift refurbishment recently to not just one, but two passenger lifts at Nether Hall Care Home. Nether Hall is a luxury care home located in Derbyshire and offers top quality facilities for their residents. Their passenger lifts were over 30 years old and very unreliable, causing the client endless issues.
We recently took over the service contract and regularly work with them. Our lift genius Neil (or Supernell) advised that they invest in a lift refurbishment due to the lifts age and issues. The client was more than happy to invest.
Control Panel Replaced
We swapped the old control panel with a newer, open protocol, lift control system. It features LIMAX levelling and excellent diagnostics for our engineers. The new lift control system ensures maximum safety and efficiency. Our engineers have decades of experience between them and have been installing DMG control systems for years.
Hydraulic Systems Upgraded
The old hydraulic system was very harsh and generally unreliable, for this reason we upgraded it. We used a BLAINE KV2S Valve Block, as they have a reputation of being great. The new hydraulics ensures a reliable, safe and smooth ride with pristine levelling. We frequently use Blaine hydraulic equipment alongside Biofial via our partners Shorts.
Door Operation
The lift doors were upgraded to brand-new stainless-steel Metron M2 Busmatic Doors. These doors not only look great, but they also make the lift operate perfectly. We also upgraded the door safety edges, did a car door overhaul, added new shaft lighting and car top controls.
Lift Interior
Both lifts had a major interior upgrade. The new interiors are more modern looking and feature new white laminate ceiling with spotlights, new laminate walls, new mirror, new stainless steel handrail and hard wearing floor. In a busy care home, the lift interior upgrade is a big help.
