We don’t normally supply or upgrade Supernatural Lifts but on this occasion, we were asked to do a full modernisation on a lift in a care home that was once a church.
Woolton Grange in Liverpool was once a church that was built over 100 years ago. It is now a superb care home for one of our key clients We Care. The motor room is situated in the basement which leads to many unground tunnels. There is talk that the building is haunted and some people have seen and heard young children. The lift was in a bit of a scary state due to age and high usage. For this reason, we did our supernatural lifts package for our customer.
Within 4 weeks of receiving an order we were handing the lifts over or as our lead engineer Ted says “we are binging and bonging”. It is great to work with engineers who care about doing a good job and clients who invest in their lift portfolio before things become a problem.
We replaced the lift control system to a reliable DMG package, a trusty product that improves lift performance. We also replaced the old busmatic doors to superb Meta ones. In addition to this, we changed the hydraulics to a more efficient EV100 Blaine. Special thanks to Fiona Clough from Shorts who helped sort materials in mega quick time. An additional thank you to the team at Hydrax too.
