Nationwide Teddies – Far And Wide
Our humble teddies have been travelling the nation. Some say, they have been spotted hiding in random locations. So far, one has been spotted in a Starbucks, a shopping centre and one has even been spotted at a Take That concert.
Now the question is, can you find a Nationwide Teddy?
Jay Raises Money For Dougie Mac
One of our engineers, Jay and his two friends, Embarked on the National three peaks to raise money for Dougie Mac. They managed to raise £1100 for the charity and they did the challenge in under 24 hours (22 hours and 20 minutes).
The National Three Peaks involves climbing Britain’s highest mountains. The mountains the participants climb up are Ben Nevis (In Scotland), Snowdon (In Wales) and Scafell Pike (In England). In total, the walking distance is approximately 23 miles with 3,064 metres of ascent.
Nationwide Lifts – The Game (Update)
This month’s development has added a lot into the game. Including but not limited to, more enemies, bigger levels, a third attack for the player, more mechanics and much more. One of the main things added is a pro form for each character that unlocks if the game deems you worthy. Choose wisely which character you would want to go pro however, as you can only choose one.
As shown above is some unseen game footage. Of course the finished product will be 10x better. We look forward to updating this further.
Nationwide Comics – Supernells Match Of The Day
Supernell was at a football game when he saw their lift suddenly broke down without warning. He quickly stepped into action, assessed what the problem was, and it was fixed in a flash. With Nationwide’s trusty team of engineers, no lift is left with a red card.
Our Engineers
Supernell (Neil) – Do you need a hero, Supernell can save you from extensive lift related costs and issues.
Superted (Ted) – Superted is here to bring you only the best service. Say his magic word (lifts) and he will be there in no time.
Mr Nationwide (Craig) – Lifts are fixed with intention, broken down lifts fear him, clients respect him. Mr Nationwide reporting for duty.
The Bear (Alex) – The bear is a mammal/man with a plan. Fix lifts and ensure they work (oh, and eating lots of porridge).
Our Work
Platform Lift Installation And Passenger Lift Refurbishment
Upon recently acquiring a contract for a Stoke-based care home and after a survey, we found both the care home lifts needed work. Luckily, we had a great solution for the care home.
For the first lift, we gave it a full refurbishment. Included in this were upgrades to the control system, hydraulics, door operators as well as a lovely new interior.
For the second lift, it didn’t meet regulations and should not have been in operation. For this reason, we isolated the lift safely, however this wasn’t the long term solution.
What we did was we removed and replaced the passenger lift with a brand new platform lift. This platform lift serves as a backup to the main lift on site. We normally don’t recommend platform lifts for care homes down to high usage but as a backup lift, they are a great disabled access solution for the care home.

Laurel Bank Lift Upgrade
We did a lift upgrade for a lift in Laurel Bank, a purpose-built care home in Bradford. Laurel Bank is one of We Care Group & Summit Care Groups many care homes. We did a modernisation for another one of their care homes, that being Woolton Grange.
During this project we upgraded the lift and now it works better than ever. Special thanks to Shorts Industries Ltd for the help with this project.
