Kerry Joins The Team

Article content

Meet Kerry, our new Service and Call-Outs Manager. She handles emergency breakdown calls, engineer rotas and schedules your routine maintenance visits. As well as this she solves customer problems and is always in touch with them, to ensure their lifts are always running.

Kerry has an extensive background in the lift industry, having worked for some of the biggest lift companies in the area. She has already shown herself to be a valuable asset to the business, with her lift industry experience and attitude being just two standout points.

Kerry is an avid supporter of Port Vale (unfortunately) and likes most sports. In addition to this, she loves a good day in the sun and cocktails. We are sure Kerry will always remain a promising figure in the business.

Nationwide Lifts – The Game (Update)

Are you someone who likes a challenge? if the answer is yes, Pro mode is for you.

Pro mode is reserved for true lift professionals, do you have what it takes? Pro mode means enemies hit twice as hard, some have new behavior’s or attacks, lifts are harder to fix and bosses have new attacks, behavior and boosted health and damage.

For those who wish to play this mode, there are exclusive perks and boosted rewards, do you have what it takes to beat the game?

As well as Pro mode, we also added a quiz system which asks you lift related questions, get them right and you will be rewarded.

Nationwide Comics – A Lesson In Lifts

Article content

The kids and staff are now back at school but while they were off, our engineers were busy ensuring they all had safe lifts to use.

There was a school whos lift wasn’t up to scratch, luckily for them, Supernell and Mr Nationwide stepped in to save the day.

Our Engineers

Supernell (Neil) – Do you need a hero, Supernell can save you from extensive lift related costs and issues.

Superted (Ted) – Superted is here to bring you only the best service. Say his magic word (lifts) and he will be there in no time.

Mr Nationwide (Craig) – Lifts are fixed with intention, broken down lifts fear him, clients respect him. Mr Nationwide reporting for duty.

The Bear (Alex) – The bear is a mammal/man with a plan. Fix lifts and ensure they work (oh, and eating lots of porridge).

Our Work

Keswick School Lift Upgrade

This month, we did a lift upgrade for a school located in Keswick. The lift was well maintained by another lift company. However, because the lift was old and past its lifespan, it was in dire need of a lift modernisation.

We gave the client a full lift upgrade. We installed a new DMG control system which included a new levelling Limax system. In addition to this, we upgraded the car top, car controls and landing controls, complete with indication and all associated wiring. We also upgraded the door operator to an L&L sourced by Shorts and upgraded the door safety edges from Weco.

Finally, we upgraded the shaft lighting, stop switches, car top handrail, pit prop and we changed the hydraulic tank with a new motor, pump and Blaine valve block.

The delivery and installation was carefully planned to ensure we finished the work while children and staff were off. All of this work was completed within 8 days.

Backup Platform Lift In Care Home

A care home in Stoke had two passenger lifts within their building. One of them was working perfectly as we gave it a lift upgrade some time ago. The other one however, became problematic and needed urgent attention.

As they have two lifts, we decided the most practical and efficient solution was a replacement lift. We removed and replaced the original passenger lift and replaced it with a brand-new platform lift.

This is effective as the platform lift can be used as a back-up to the original lift. Due to the platform being a back-up, it means it would see less usage than the old passenger lift, meaning less issues.

The care home initially went to another lift company regarding their second lift, but ultimately went with us as our costs were a third of the other companies cost. As well as this, we completed all work in an extremely short time period.
